Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.In addition to ending its story on a high note, AMC's "Mad Men" series finale has also nabbed the series' highest ratings ever.
Sunday's show-closer attracted 1.7 million viewers in the cable network’s key demographic of adults, aged 25 to 54 years old, according to Nielsen's live plus same day viewing numbers. That is the series’ highest audience ever in the key demo.
Overall, the show attracted 3.3 million total viewers. That is “Mad Men’s” third most-watched episode of its seven-season run. The Season 5 and Season 6 premieres are the No. 1 and No. 2 most-watched episodes of the series’ run, respectively.
AMC will release its ratings report on Friday in order to reflect three days of delayed viewing, which can often double these initial numbers in the case of “Mad Men.”
“Mad Men” ended on Sunday with main character Don Draper (Jon Hamm) on a journey of contemplation. During which, he would come up with one of advertising’s most iconic commercials: Coke’s 1971 “Hilltop” promo.
Bruce Jenner is the breadwinner this week on E! Entertainment's "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Sunday's Part one of the specials dubbed "Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce" brought in 2.92 million total viewers, according to TheWrap. That represents a 40% increase over the previous Sunday's episode audience of 2.09 viewers.
The series also attracted 1.15 million viewers in the younger-skewing Adults, aged 18 to 34 years old, also a 40% bump over the previous episode. Furthermore, it scored a 33% increase in the group most popular with advertisers, Adults 18-49 and the older-skewing 25-54 year old demo.
The ratings for Part 2, which aired on Monday, are not yet available.
These were much-needed increases for the series, which seems to have shored up a trend of audience decline in recent seasons.
The current 10th season premiered on March 15 and held steady with the previous season's premiere with 2.55 million total viewers. That could be attributed to curiosity surrounding Bruce and Kris's recently finalized divorce and reports of Bruce's transition to a woman at the time.
On "About Bruce," E! airs several intimate meetings between the former Olympian and his family that took place in January. Emotions are still very raw as Bruce was still planning his transition and had yet to shoot the Diane Sawyer interview for ABC. It would air on April 28 to an audience of 17.1 million viewers.
Of the 45 new TV offerings from the broadcast networks, we have chosen 13 series that most captured our attention.
Our decisions were made on admittedly few resources: available trailers, the talent attached, or even just a description.
But now more than ever, early buzz is necessary to cut through the cluttered TV landscape. Last year, the broadcast networks ordered 54 new series. Of those, only 19 shows survived.

Why we're excited: Based on the blockbuster film by executive producer Steven Spielberg that starred Tom Cruise, this is the first TV show to be adapted from a Spielberg film. Plus, who didn't want to know what happened to the precogs after the program was shut down?
Stars: Stark Sands, Meagan Good, Wilmer Valderrama, Li Jun Li, Laura Regan
Why we're excited: Shonda Rhimes clearly rules ABC right now, and we're not objecting. We've totally taken the Shondaland ride with "Grey's Anatomy,""Scandal," and "How to Get Away With Murder.""The Catch," about a woman who professionally catches con men but gets conned herself, sounds like a new extension of the twisty, turny roller-coaster ride. And we're on board.
Stars: Mireille Enos, Alimi Ballard, Jay Hayden, Jacky Ido, Rose Rollins, and Elvy Yost
Why we're excited: Duh, the Muppets! Plus, this is set to parody documentary-style shows like "Modern Family" and "The Office." So we're in for a totally new take on famous characters.
Although it's been almost two whole years since "Breaking Bad" ended it's acclaimed run on AMC, the series is still fresh in the mind of fans of another two-year old pop culture phenomenon: "Grand Theft Auto V."
With the help of some video editing tools recently released alongside the long-awaited PC version of the game, YouTube user LioN KoLLa—real name Sachitha Harshana, who according to his Twitter bio, runs "the most-viewed YouTube channel in Sri Lanka"—painstakingly recreated a number of highlights from all five seasons of "Breaking Bad."

In honor of Letterman's final show airing Wednesday night, Kimmel took the opportunity to address his idol's departure during his Tuesday night monologue.
Usually full of jokes, Kimmel got serious as began to explain what Letterman means to him.
"I wanted to be an artist when I was a kid, I loved to draw. And every night after my parents went to bed, I would sit at my desk in my room and I would draw until it was very late," Kimmel explained. "And while I was doing that, I would watch a television show that is very important to me, it was called 'Late Night with David Letterman.'"
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Kimmel continued: "And even though it looked like every other talk show, it wasn't, it was weird. It was totally original, primarily because the host of the show — who a lot of the time seemed embarrassed to even be there, he did not seem like he was a part of show business — he was uncomfortable, he never pretended to be excited, and his way of saying things was so subtle that a lot of the times people he was saying things to didn't know he was joking."
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."I started drawing pictures of Dave on my text books in school. When I turned 16, my mother baked me a 'Late Night with David Letterman cake,'" said Kimmel. "You can see I'm wearing a David Letterman letterman jacket."

Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."We had no VCR so I'd have 'Late Night' viewing parties at my house. My friends, who also loved the show, would come over at midnight while my parents were asleep. They would bring soda and we would watch the show."
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."Looking back," he joked, "I now realize why none of the girls in school wanted to have sex with me."
"I watched the show every night and little did I know that many years and many pounds later that watching the show was a great education for me," Kimmel explained while getting emotional.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."I learned almost nothing in college, but watching 'Late Night,' not only did I learn how to do everything from Dave, the reason I have this show is because the executives at ABC saw me when I was a guest on Dave's show and hired me to host this show. So I want to thank Dave, and his writers, and producers."
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."Tomorrow night is Letterman's farewell show and I'd like it if you watched that instead of our show," urged Kimmel. "We are going to have a show on tomorrow night, but please do not watch it, especially if you're a young person who doesn't understand what all the fuss is about."
"Dave is the best and you should see him," Kimmel said while tearing up.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view. Kimmel then explained that he wanted to show his audience "one of my favorite segments of the show," which was "a parody of the after school specials they would run in the 70s and 80s."
Kimmel then ran an old "Late Night" clip in which Letterman very ironically comforts a little boy named Jimmy about the end of the show.
"Jimmy, I've been looking all over for you," Letterman says in the old video bit. "I know how you feel, hurt at first, but believe me, you're going to get over it. Jimmy, just because the show is canceled doesn't mean it goes away forever. It can live on through re-runs and syndication."
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view. The irony was not lost on Kimmel, who told his audience, "I think this sums up how I feel this week, almost supernaturally well."

This could be the biggest fall for television remakes, revivals and spinoffs. That could just be what the major networks really needed to cut through today's very dense TV landscape, because it's working.
Business Insider partnered with Amobee Brand Intelligence— a company that provides marketing insight and measures real-time content consumption across the internet, social, and mobile — to find out which new TV shows are actually breaking through the clutter and getting the most attention.
During the process, Amobee discovered that out of the 10 upcoming fall TV series that generated the most consumption between April 19-May 19, six were based on existing franchises. A whopping 88% of the digital consumption — a measure of how often a term/brand is actually “seen” online (600,000+ websites including mobile) and social media — around those 10 shows were shows based on existing franchises.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.CBS's "Supergirl"remake soared above next season's new shows, receiving the most digital consumption and thus setting the bar against which the other shows are compared.
The CW's "Arrow"-"Flash" spinoff "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" came in second at 69% of "Supergirl's" digital consumption.
In the third position, CBS's sequel to Bradley Cooper film "Limitless" came in at 51%.
It was followed by ABC's "The Muppets" revival in fourth place at 31%.
The first original series to break through is Fox's Ryan Murphy series "Scream Queens," which rounds out the Top 5 with 16%.

"I have too much respect for Dave to do anything that would distract viewers from watching his final show," Kimmel recently told The New York Times. "Plus, I’ll probably be crying all day, which makes it hard to work."
Kimmel, 47, has idolized Letterman, 68, since the younger late-night host was a quirky kid growing up in Vegas.
"His show was just so weird and different," Kimmel told Rolling Stone back in 2013. "I'd never seen anything like it. I didn't know anyone who had a sense of humor like that."
Kimmel has often joked that the only reason he went into show business was to be friends with Letterman — and wondered why anyone would watch his show instead of Letterman’s.
So when Kimmel was coming off four years as cohost of Comedy Central’s “The Man Show” and about to debut "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on ABC in 2002, naturally he reached out to Letterman to be a guest on the show’s premiere episode.
Letterman’s typed response — on personal stationery — today sits framed on Kimmel’s desk in his studio office, alongside a photo of his late grandparents and a picture of himself covered in whipped cream after popping a fictional zit on Jon Stewart’s forehead.
This is what the letter said. It's from September 23, 2002, and was uncovered by New York Magazine.
Dear Jimmy,
Thanks for asking me to appear on your premiere. Unfortunately, I will be out of the country on business. I’m sure the program will be a success regardless.
Sincerely,
Dave
"His response is hilarious," Kimmel told New York Magazine. "He’s not out of the country on business. He knows you know he’s not out of the country on business and just the words 'on business' — it really makes it a perfect letter for me."
Eleven years later, the two aren’t exactly best buddies. But Letterman did appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" for the first time in 2012, when the LA-based show broadcast out of Brooklyn after Hurricane Sandy.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Letterman's appearance gave Kimmel his biggest Wednesday audience in the show's history — about 2.4 million viewers.
Leading up to the visit, Kimmel said he was "terrified" to interview Letterman and tried to justify it by saying, "I’m sure for him it’s nothing more than a nuisance, that he’s just doing it to be nice."
But Letterman was a gracious guest as Kimmel showed him photos of his "Late Night"-themed 18th-birthday cake:
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view. And "L8 Nite" license plate on his first car.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Letterman responded by telling his No. 1 fan, "I’ll be honest with you, it was troubling. I kept saying to people, 'Why is he sucking up to me?' ... When I was persuaded that there was some measure of stability here, then I really realized that it was genuine and I couldn’t appreciate it more."
Letterman added, "In show business, one of the precepts is you're not really supposed to be nice to people, especially if you have the same occupation as another person. Jimmy has broken that precept and has been nothing but generous and courteous and kind to me."
Kimmel told Rolling Stone that, as a kid, he felt like Letterman was doing his show "specifically for [him]." And now, to return the favor, Kimmel won't do his show on Wednesday, specifically for Letterman.
Watch Letterman's ratings-raising 2012 appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
On Tuesday, Kimmel gave an emotional farewell tribute to Letterman, urging viewers to watch Dave's final show on Wednesday instead of his own.
Through tears, Kimmel explained: "Dave is the best and you should see him."
On Wednesday, David Letterman hosted his last "Late Show."
Tons of celebrities came out to celebrate the occasion and help Letterman with his final "Top 10" list.

David Letterman hosted his final "Late Show" Wednesday night.
After entering the stage to a standing ovation, Letterman urged people to "please be seated" so he could deliver his last monologue.

Letterman then said it has been annoying to constantly be asked what he's going to do now that he's retired.
"Want to know what I'm going to do? By god, I hope to become the new face of Scientology," Letterman quipped.
"Don't kid yourselves, emotions are running high in this building," he continued. "Here's a video of the goodbye statement to staff that took place earlier today,"he said before showing a clip of himself blowing a kiss to staffers via hologram.

Clik here to view."Paul and I have been doing this show for 33 years, that's 6,028 shows," Letterman said on a seemingly serious note, before joking: Earlier today we got a call from Stephen Hawking, he ran the numbers because he's a genius. He said it makes out to be about eight minutes of laughter."
Letterman continued with the jokes. "Time gets away from you," he said. "When we started this program the hottest show on television was 'Keeping Up with the Gabors.'
The worst thing about not having his own show? "When I screw up now I have to go on somebody else's show to apologize."
"Do you remember Elian Gonzalez?" Letterman continued. "The kid is 21-years-old and yesterday he announced that he wants to come back to America. Now my question to you is, should I take this personally?"
Letterman later called bandleader Paul Schaefer his best friend, but told fans not to worry because the two aren't done in the entertainment 'biz just yet.
"We are going to continue on in show business. Next month in June, Paul and I will be debuting our new act with white tigers," he joked.

David Letterman's farewell from late night on Wednesday evening earned him the highest ratings in nearly a decade.
According to early numbers, the goodbye episode earned a huge 9.3/24 in local ratings. That's the highest ratings for the show since December 1, 2005, when Oprah Winfrey, who Letterman has publicly feuded with, and Bonnie Rait were the guests.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.To give you an idea about how big that is for Letterman, last night's numbers represent a 127% increase over Monday's episode (4.1/11) with guests Tom Hanks — appearing for the 60th time on the show — and rocker Eddie Vedder.
Additionally, "Late Show's" finale beat all primetime shows on Wednesday.
"The Late, Late Show with James Corden" also got a bump from its lead-in. Its early ratings, 2.5/10, are a new all-time high for the program. That represents a 79% increase over last week (1.4/05) and 150% increase from last year (1.0/03).
CBS will release the full overnight ratings, which will include the amount of total viewers, later on Thursday.
Letterman's finale episode showed a mix of favorite segments like Top Ten Lists and memorable moments. The highlight of the night was the star-sytudded reading of the final Top Ten List with guests Chris Rock, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Peyton Manning and Tina Fey, among others.
On David Letterman's farewell to CBS's "Late Show" on Wednesday, the 33-year late-night veteran joked that he would devote the rest of his life to "social media."
As late-night TV depends more and more on creating viral moments, David Letterman has said that that was one of the reasons he knew it was time to leave the "Late Show."
The lack of ability to create viral videos is "a weakness of the show," Letterman said in May's Rolling Stone cover interview. "I hear about things going viral and I think, 'How do you do that?' I think I'm the blockage in the plumbing."
Letterman wasn't just being highly critical of himself. There are actual numbers to prove it.
Amobee Brand Intelligence — a company that provides marketing insight and measures real-time content consumption across the internet, social media, and mobile — looked at digital consumption around all the late night hosts for a year starting April 2014 to April 2015.
The results confirmed that the changing landscape for late-night formats and viral video creation wasn't moving in Letterman's favor.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Despite a high level of awareness that the last year was Letterman’s swan song year, Fallon, Kimmel, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert all had more consumption than the departing CBS host. In fact, Letterman generated only 29% as much digital consumption as Fallon.
With less and less people watching late-night talk shows live, the shows have moved toward bits that can get shared online the next day.
Younger hosts are doing the literal song and dance to create viral moments, which isn't Letterman's style.
Amobee offers up the following example: When Letterman announced he would be leaving late-night in April 2014, he only generated 52% of the digital consumption Stewart's decision to leave Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" received two months earlier.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view."If you look around at the other people doing it and look at me, it's almost like a pair of shoes you haven't worn in a hundred years," he told Rolling Stone. "'Gee, I think we can probably get rid of these.' I still enjoy what I'm doing, but I think what I'm doing is not what you want at 11:30 anymore."
Letterman certainly had his own success with innovative sketches gone viral. We've all clicked on a video of Letterman's "Stupid Pet Tricks" and "Top Ten Lists," among other great segments. But, he's probably right about not fitting the variety-show-like model late-night programs have moved toward.
With all that behind Letterman now, Colbert will have to step up to the viral video competition when he takes over the "Late Show" on Sept. 8.
David Letterman's final episode of "The Late Show" aired Wednesday evening.
Perhaps Letterman's greatest late-night show legacy is his nightly Top 10 lists. Celebrities from Tiny Fey and Jerry Seinfeld to Jim Carrey and Bill Murray showed up to read the final one: "Top 10 Things I've Always Wanted to Say to Dave."
In honor of his departure, we've rounded up the Top 10 Letterman Top 10 lists.
To compile the ranked list, we took into consideration top-viewed lists from YouTube and talked-about lists across the Internet. We also looked at prior anniversary lists from Letterman himself.

June is fast approaching, so that means there will be a slew of new movies and TV shows heading to Netflix.
This coming month brings the return of "Orange is the New Black" as well as "Sense8," Netflix's latest foray into original programming.
Meanwhile, if you ever wanted to see what a Shaquille O'Neal all star comedy jam looks like, Netflix will offer a few of those as well.
Check out everything coming to Netflix in June.
Here's what you should check out on Netflix in June:
TV

The second season of Marvel's first attempt at extending its ambitious cinematic universe to the small screen will be available on Netflix.

"Rosewater" (available 6/10)
Jon Stewart took off "Daily Show" hosting duty during the summer of 2013 to shoot this drama about a journalist (Gael Garcia Bernal) who is thrown into an Iranian prison after participating in a "Daily Show" bit. This is a great way to kick off Stewart's last few months as host; his last show will air on August 6.

FX is hoping for another hit from "American Horror Story" cocreator Ryan Murphy with its coming true-crime anthology series "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson."
Based on Jeffrey Toobin's book "The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson," the limited series will take a look at the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers.
It will explore the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court and how the LAPD's history with Los Angeles' African-American community affected the trial.
For the past several months, casting on the series has kept people buzzing as many still remember watching the case that went down in the mid-'90s and feel they know the players well.
With production underway in Los Angeles, FX has just released the first photos of the cast. Business Insider took the extra step of showing them alongside the real people they'll be playing.
Cuba Gooding Jr. ("Jerry Maguire,""Empire") as O.J. Simpson:

Sarah Paulson ("American Horror Story") as deputy district attorney Marcia Clark:

She would later write a book about the trial in a reported $4.2 million deal and act as a special legal correspondent for news shows.
Billy Magnussen ("Into the Woods") as Kato Kaelin:

"American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson" will premiere in 2016 on FX.
CBS's "Supergirl" is the most-talked about new show of the upcoming season on social media, but Fox has the most shows in the Top 10 than any other broadcast network.
That's what we learned when Business Insider partnered with Prime Visibility, a digital marketing agency with the tools to measure social media mentions, to figure out which shows people are talking about most on Twitter and Facebook over the past seven days.
It's no surprise that shows based on previous franchises took the Top 4 spots. "Supergirl" was followed by The CW's "Arrow"-"Flash" spinoff "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," ABC's revival of "The Muppets," and the return of Fox's "The X-Files."
Interestingly, ABC is getting a lot of social media chatter around its upcoming FBI drama "Quantico." It's the highest-ranked original series in fifth place.
NBC may be on to something, too, with its upcoming variety show revival, "Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris." It placed No. 6.
Although Fox had more shows in the Top 10 than any other network, "Supergirl" still beats their combined total of social mentions.
Here are the Top 10 shows on social media, according to Prime Visibility:
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view. One word that could best describe "Mad Men" creator Matthew Weiner is "obsessive."
Throughout the entire run of "Mad Men," he made sure to get all the period details right and went as far as to model a kitchen after the year 1957 instead of 1960 in order to ensure continuity.
Outside of the sets, costumes, and cigarettes one of the most memorable features on all of "Mad Men" is the music. Weiner handpicked many of the songs used throughout the series by hand.
The most surprising part, though, is that he was planning the show's soundtrack years before he even knew what "Mad Men" would become.
A plaque displayed at the "Mad Men" exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image reads: “I chose most of the non-scored music on the series. I was open to suggestions and in many key moments they have worked well for the show."
"But I have a very personal relationship with music and am a delusional person to the degree that before the show existed, I kept a file in my iTunes of all the songs that could go one day in the show. Over seven years I used most of them–in fact many stories were actually constructed to serve specific songs.” Weiner added.
At the exhibit, you can hear some of Weiner's explanations for why he chose certain songs to accompany certain episodes.
Here are excerpts of recordings from the Museum of the Moving Image in which Weiner discusses some of the many highlights from the "Mad Men" soundtrack:
"A Beautiful Mine" (RJD2), Opening Credits Song

Inspiration can strike anywhere at any time. Weiner first heard "A Beautiful Mine" on the radio and thought it perfectly matched the now famous falling man in the show's opening credits.
"The theme song, 'A Beautiful Mine,' was something I heard on NPR...on 'Marketplace' as transitional music right as we were making the title sequence, and I loved that it had this sort of falling sound to it." Weiner said.
"Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" (Bob Dylan), "The Wheel" (season 1, episode 13)
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
"Mad Men" season finales usually contained some of the show's best musical moments.
Weiner felt that the end of season one, in which Don chooses work over family, was the best time to play a Bob Dylan tune.
"At the time, I didn't know if there was gonna be another season of the show," Weiner said, "And it was important for me to not only use Bob Dylan, because I love the idea of the central premise of the show that someone like Don, who lived in that world and dressed like that and had that job was going to be listening to this music...I also just love the words to this song because it's a moment of Don in deep regret about losing his family..."
"The Infanta" (The Decemberists), "Maidenform" (season 2, episode 6)

Matthew Weiner is very particular about the show's historical accuracy, and will go as far as getting rid of a dish if it isn't from the time period. The same usually applies for music, but every once in a while, he'll bend the rules for a tune that's not from the time period.
"...It's a very original sounding song with a great beat and incredible lyrics and what I loved about it is that it is a regal entrance of a princess and about her being adorned and about her being carried on elephants...and the rhythm of it was just this presentation of royalty and I liked it because it was an introduction of our female characters getting ready for the day with their underwear which was the story of the show about how you are seen by other people, and this presentation of woman as queen when they are basically sort of being judged in the most surface way through the rest of the episode." Weiner explained.
"Shahdoroba" (Roy Orbison), "Shut the Door. Have a Seat." (season 3, episode 13)

This song played during a transitional moment at the end of season three. As Don and Betty's marriage comes to end, Don moves out on his own and starts a new agency.
"['Shahdoroba'] is a song that I've always wanted to use in the show and I had a list on my iPod of music that could be for the show even before the show existed," Weiner said, "And the thing about 'Shahdoroba' is, besides the fact that its talking about a time that's gone by, it emotionally captures this longing and adventure, it has this almost Egyptian sound to it that suggested a world that had disappeared."
"Stranger on the Shore" (Acker Bilk), "Meditations in an Emergency" (season 2, episode 13); "Favors" (season 6, episode 11)

A rarity for the show, Weiner actually used this song in two different episodes. He used this tune not just because it worked well with the scenes, but because it plays with our perception of the time period.

While the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Beatles are linked most to the 1960s, they are not necessarily what was playing on the radio.
"I wanted a piece of music that I thought would be being played because it was a hit at that time and that wouldn't distract from the mood," Weiner said, "It was also important to me that in the midst of this musical revolution that's going on as rock n roll is becoming more and more prominent, that there are two soundtracks going on. There are two parts of the culture that are competing, and this song is a throwback to a simpler time."
"You Only Live Twice" (Nancy Sinatra), "The Phantom" (season 5, episode 13)
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.
"'You Only Live Twice,' by Nancy Sinatra, is from a James Bond film and was something that I had on my iPod because I had a collection of music that would go for this imaginary TV show that I had that I was always collecting." Weiner said. "And to me, it thematically summed up the story of someone who had two different lives and because this show was about this secret identity, and the words are very poetic..."
Things changed since Weiner first began planning for his theoretical TV series, and the song almost ended up in another part of the series.

"...for a time I was thinking about using it as the theme song for the show, or certainly for the ending of the first episode, but then I really wanted to tie it to the period. And by the time we got to season five, where it's featured heavily in the ending of the entire season, we really built that [final] sequence around this song." Weiner said.
You can hear Weiner's thoughts on many more of the songs from the series at the "Mad Men" exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image. The exhibit runs through June 14.
The pilot episode for CBS's "Supergirl" has gone up, up and away on the internet.
It leaked online late Thursday night and has already been downloaded more than 150,000 times.
As downloads aren't going as fast as expected, a realistic estimate is that it'll reach a quarter of a million downloads by Saturday morning, according to TorrentFreak.com.
Two torrent sites led the charge. LOL and DiMENSiON released the download originally, but the availability of the files is expected to increase as other torrent sites get their hands on them and media spreads the word about the leak.
LOL is apparently offering a smaller size download file while DiMENSiON's file is more than 15 times the size of LOL's and a quality that should work for HD viewing.
Apparently, the leaked video doesn't show the signs of being a screener, such as on-screen warning messages about sharing the screener, messages about who owns it, etc.
The leak arrives just a couple weeks after CBS officially announced it's going forward with the series and six months ahead of its November premiere date.
A CBS representative declined to comment for this article.
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Online piracy of TV and movies have plagued the industry for years. And as people have increasingly moved away from using cable and satellite TV services, it has become a popular way for cord-cutters to watch their favorite shows.
In 2014, HBO's "Game of Thrones" had the dubious honor of being the most-pirated TV show with about 48.4 million downloads that year.
As a result, many TV networks are exploring options that give cord-cutters a legal avenue to watch their programming. With "Game of Thrones" piracy as it is, it's no surprise that HBO has been a leader in the movement to offer its own standalone subscription streaming service. HBO Now launched in April.
And by the way, CBS has also launched its own streaming service called CBS All Access. Full seasons of CBS's already aired programming are available on the service. So, "Supergirl" is only available right now via illegal downloads.
"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter is back in business at FX.
The cable channel announced on Friday that it has ordered 10 episodes of Sutter's drama, "The Bastard Executioner." Production will resume in Wales this summer with a fall premiere date set.
The series takes place in the late-Middle Ages and follows a warrior knight in King Edward I’s charge who is broken by the ravages of war and vows to lay down his sword. But when that violence finds him again, he is forced to return to battle.
“I love history. I love theology. I love blood," Sutter said in a statement. "It's been very satisfying weaving fact and fiction to create a new mythology that combines all these elements. And with this extraordinary cast -- Stephen Moyer, Katey Sagal and newcomer, Lee Jones -- this world explodes on screen. I love working with FX and [Fox 21 Television Studios]. They've been my family for 15 years. They not only tolerate me, they embrace my extremely disturbing storytelling sensibilities.”
Image may be NSFW. Clik here to view.Sutter will also appear on the new series alongside series regulars Flora Spencer-Longhurst, Sam Spruell, Darren Evans, Danny Sapani, Timothy V. Murphy, Sarah White, Sarah Sweeney, Elen Rhys, Ethan Griffiths and guest star Matthew Rhys.
Produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions, "The Bastard Executioner" was created by Sutter who will be joined by Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Paris Barclay as the show's executive producers.
It isn't difficult to see why FX would be in a hurry to be back in business with Sutter after "Sons of Anarchy" ended its run last December. The gritty drama's final season was its most-watched and highest-rated, averaging 11.7 million total viewers and 7.5 million in the advertiser-coveted demographic of Adults, aged 18-49 years old.
