Warning: There are massive spoilers ahead if you have not seen Sunday's episode of "The Walking Dead."
Wow. What an ending to Sunday's episode of "The Walking Dead."
Fans were caught off guard during the final seconds of AMC's hit series when one of the show's biggest characters was unexpectedly shot.
Last chance to head back before spoilers!
During Sunday's episode, Michonne and Glenn were taken captive by Dwight and a group of the Saviors. Daryl and Rosita went to save them in the show's final moments; however, they were caught off guard when Dwight came up behind Daryl, saying hello.
As Daryl slowly turned around to face Dwight, he was shot. Blood splattered across half of the camera to obfuscate what really transpired on screen.
Daryl is one of the show's most-beloved characters on "The Walking Dead" and most of this season has been hinting that the character may get killed off. While it's tough for any main character to be potentially killed off, fans just dealt with a similar blow when it came to the question of whether or not Glenn was alive earlier this season, fans are especially protective of Norman Reedus' character, Daryl. The mantra in "The Walking Dead" fandom is "If Daryl dies, we riot."
Naturally, fans immediately started freaking out.

You may have missed a line that came moments after Daryl was shot. When the screen goes to black Dwight says, "Don't worry. You'll be all right."
What does it all mean? You'll have to tune into the finale of "The Walking Dead" Sunday, April 3. Or you can hold on tight and check out our interview with Austin Amelio who plays Dwight on the show.
