Netflix debuted the first official trailer for the next season of "Daredevil" Monday morning and it's all about the show's next big character, antihero Frank Castle.
Better known as The Punisher, Jon Bernthal ("The Walking Dead") joins the cast as the vigilante out seeking revenge for the death of his family. Let's just say his way of exacting justice is a little different from Daredevil's concept of the word. The Punisher doesn't exactly believe in lock up.
Here's the official synopsis for the new season via Netflix:
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
Netflix teased that a second trailer for the series will arrive in 10 days on February 25.
The second season of "Daredevil" will arrive March 18.
