The critically acclaimed Hulu original series, "The Handmaid's Tale," has returned with an all-new season.
Based on Margaret Atwood's classic book, the show has been a hit on the streaming service through the first three seasons. "The Handmaid's Tale" is set in a dystopian alternate reality where women are subjugated under a totalitarian government. The new season features June (Elisabeth Moss) taking on the role of a "fierce rebel leader" against the Republic of Gilead, according to Hulu's synopsis.
"The Handmaid's Tale" has received numerous awards, including an Emmy for outstanding drama series in 2017, and a Golden Globe for best drama series in 2018. The show holds an "82% Fresh" rating on review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes.
How to watch 'The Handmaid's Tale' on Hulu
The fourth season of "The Handmaid's Tale" premiered on Hulu with three new episodes on April 28. The fourth and fifth episodes premiered on May 5 and May 12, respectively. Hulu will release the season's remaining five episodes every Wednesday between May 19 and June 16.

How to watch 'The Handmaid's Tale' without Hulu
If you don't want to pay a monthly fee, you can buy individual episodes or full seasons of "The Handmaid's Tale" from digital retailers like Amazon, iTunes, and Vudu. Episodes are priced at $3 each in HD video quality.
That said, only the first three seasons are available to buy from other platforms. As such, we recommend Hulu as a better option since Hulu will grant you access to the fourth season as soon as it premieres.
It's not clear when other platforms will add season four, but it usually takes several months for new seasons to receive a home video release after they air on Hulu.
