  • Selena Gomez appeared on NBC's "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday and spoke about the similarities between the theme song of her hit Disney Channel sitcom "Wizards of Waverly Place" and Billie Eilish's track "Bad Guy."
  • Gomez portrayed Alex Russo on the series, which lasted from 2007 to 2012, and sang the theme song.
  • Fallon told Gomez that her Disney Channel track was the inspiration for Eilish's song, then played both tunes so the "Rare" singer could hear the resemblance.
  • "I love Billie," Gomez said. "That's so cool."
  • Eilish and Finneas O'Connell, her older brother and collaborator, previously spoke about the synth hook of "Bad Guy" drawing inspiration from the sitcom's song and the main theme of the video game series "Plants vs. Zombies" during a video for Rolling Stone
  • Coincidentally, O'Connell recently teamed up with Gomez to produce her song "Lose You to Love Me."
