Warning: There are potential story spoilers below for season one of "Stranger Things."
The breakout character from Netflix's original series "Stranger Things" is unquestionably, the timid side-character Barb.
Newcomer Shannon Purser may play the sidekick to main character Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), but the internet has taken a liking to her, even going so far as to inspire someone to paint a mural in her honor.

Despite this whirlwind of attention, Purser is still living the life of a normal kid. She just graduated college this May and has a very stereotypical job for someone of her age. She works at a movie theater.
Oh, y'all don't know. I work at a movie theater. Seriously.

This makes complete sense, given her role as Barb on "Stranger Things" was Purser's first acting job, but it's interesting to see how someone who has captured the public's attention so thoroughly has yet to fully reap those benefits.
On Friday, Purser was not fighting off the paparazzi, but was instead giving a customer a much-needed reality check about the evils of theft.
Work's going well today. Had to gently explain to an old lady why she couldn't put lemonade in our complimentary water cups. Otherwise chill

Keep doin' you, Purser. You'll be a big movie star soon. And never forget, #TeamBarb.
