Robert Kirkman's "The Walking Dead" universe has shown us how zombies react on land and in air, but we have yet to learn how they fare in water.

Do walkers swim? Do they float? Do they stray from water all together?

It's been a topic of conversation amongfans and has been referenced in "The Walking Dead" universe before. Why wouldn't you just get on a ship and sail away from all the zombies to a remote island? We'll see this exact scenario play out in season two of the walking dead spinoff "Fear The Walking Dead."

But we won't need to wait until the show returns April to find out what potential dangers lurk in the water for our survivors.

Thanks to a new point-and-click game from Telltale released Tuesday, we know exactly what happens to the undead in the ocean.

Turns out — surprise! — you can't escape zombies in the water either. (Darn.)

"The Walking Dead: Michonne" follows Michonne's whereabouts through issues 126 and 139 when she takes off from Rick, Carl, and her comic love, Ezekiel. When the idea of her relationship with Ezekiel becomes too real, she's haunted by the memories of her deceased daughters and goes off on her own.

She winds up meeting Pete, the captain of a ship. When they become ensnared in the water, the two go off to find a way to free the ship and get moving again.

Of course, things don't go smoothly and the two end up getting attacked by a group of walkers in the water.

They don't swim. And they definitely don't float. They just sink and keep on chugging along! Water is nothing but an obstacle to tread through.

While the water may make them more sluggish, it looks like they may be even more of a threat if you happen to fall overboard.

Nick, Madison, Travis, and the rest of the "Fear the Walking Dead" crew may want to rethink getting on that yacht in season two.
