Warning: Major spoilers for "Game of Thrones" ahead, included season six set leaks and rumors.
While counting down the weeks to the season six premiere of "Game of Thrones," fans are swapping theories and rumors with more fervor than ever. The hot topic is usually Jon Snow, but anyone who has been following set leaks and theories knows he is likely returning.
Assuming Jon will be up and about during season six, the next big question comes to mind: What will his next move be?
Last chance to stop reading unless you want major spoilers for the upcoming season.
Fan sites Watchers on the Wall and Winter is Coming have been publishing reports of a major battlebeing filmed in Northern Ireland for season six. The set photos leaked show a big event in the North, with war banners from significant northern houses on the battlefield. House Umber, House Mormont, and House Bolton sigils were all spotted.
Add the photo of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) on set, dressed in Stark armor, and it looks like a pretty epic showdown will take place in season six.
Jon Snow would be facing off against Ramsay Bolton (formerly Ramsay Snow), something that doesn't sound out of the ordinary since Stannis planted the idea for Jon to reclaim the North in season five.
Referencing the two men's bastard origins, fans are calling the scene either The Battle of the Bastards or Snowbowl.
The term Snowbowl has origins in another theory called Cleganebowl — the hope that brother Sandor and Gregor Clegane (The Hound and The Mountain) will battle to the death in season six. Fans are clearly fond of naming theories after the last names of the characters involved.
Both of the "bowl" theories have a very specific set of believers. Those who subscribe to both Cleganebowl and Snowbowl frequently use the all-caps phrase "GET HYPE." They have their own subreddits, and some even go so far as to make borderline-insane YouTube videos set to crazy dubstep and rap music with lots of crazy graphics.
The Snowbowl video made by user GetHYPE features characters' heads replaced with images of Adolf Hitler, lots of marijuana paraphernalia references, and airhorns galore. Currently over 40,000 people have watched it.
