Netflix renewed Marvel's "Jessica Jones'" for a second season, the company announced Sunday amid a flurry of other original show updates.
The company has repeatedly called original content its future and promised a hefty output in 2016, so it's no surprise that it decided to move ahead with "Jones" after all the hype around the first season.
Although Netflix didn't provide any further details about when season two will actually make it to streaming, it did announce a bunch of other release dates for new and returning series.

"Flaked" will premiere March 11, 2016.
The series will star Will Arnett as Chip, a Venice, California man who gets caught up in a web of lies and half truths.
"The Ranch": April 1, 2016.
Ashton Kutcher stars as Colt, who returns home after a failed football career. Instead, he'll be running the family's ranching business.
"Lost & Found Music Studios": April 1, 2016.
"Lost & Found" is a live-action series about teenage musicians trying to "find their authentic sound and place in the world."
"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 2: April 15
"Kong: King of the Apes": April 15, 2016.
The animated TV series follows King Kong in the year 2050 who's being hunted down. Apparently, there are also "super-powered" dinosaurs. Whatever that means.
"Marseille" premieres May 5, 2016.
The series will follow the mayor of Marseille, Robert Taro, who, after 25 years, has to go up against a much younger opponent in the next election.
Season 2 of "Grace and Frankie" premieres May 6, 2016.
"Word Party" premieres June 3, 2016.

Season 4 of "Orange is the New Black" will debut June 17, 2016.

"Stranger Things" premieres July 15, 2016.
The eight-episode drama starring Winona Ryder will follow the mystery of a young boy who goes missing in Indiana.
Finally, part one of "The Get Down" will begin streaming August 12, 2016.
The NYC series will be director Baz Luhrmann's first Netflix series about teens from the South Bronx who helped bring about the hip-hop, disco, and punk music revolution of the '70s.
Netflix also announced the cast for the first new episode of dark satire "Black Mirror" will feature "Doctor Who" actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mackenzie Davis ("Halt and Catch Fire").
