Netflix’s newest true-crime hit “Making a Murderer” has spawned numerous think pieces, a subreddit, and even an upcoming documentary about the documentary.
But perhaps the most surprising thing to come out of the series is that Brad Dassey, the half-brother of Brendan Dassey— one of the main subjects of the documentary — has recorded a Christian rap song about how he believes both his brother and Steven Avery are innocent of Teresa Halbach’s murder.
It’s called “They Didn’t Do It.” You can listen below.
The song was first spotted by Milwaukee Record, which also reports that it took the “indie Christan rapper” 10 hours of writing and recording to create.
This is not the first time Brad has spoken out about his views on Brendan’s innocence. In December, Bustle reports he shared a GoFundMe link to support both Brendan and Avery on Facebook. The campaign and the Facebook post have since been removed.
There are a lot of mentions of the documentary and trial within the song. Below are all the lyrics.
