FX announced that comedian Patton Oswalt has been cast for a recurring role in Justified.
The show follows US Marshall Raylen Givens as he chases down criminals in Harlan County, Kentucky, often with guns blazing.
But we've got no doubt that Oswalt is up to the challenge of a non-comedic role. His performances in Big Fan and Young Adult prove him a solid dramatic performer.
As an added oddity, Oswalt was already a long-standing fan of Justified, so much so that he wrote a blurb for New York Times Magazine last year praising Margo Martindale's portrayal of Mags Bennett, the matriarch of a family of Kentucky pot farmers.
