"The Price is Right" celebrated its 40th anniversary Tuesday morning, but its 35-season-long host Bob Barker was missing from the special episode.
While Barker was included in numerous clips, the current host, Drew Carey, was still running the show.
The reason for Barker's absence?
The notorious animal activist told the Associated Press he wasn't invited by the show's producers.
"They haven't even offered me a DVD," said Barker. "They chose to ignore me, which is fine."
Barker had a big influence on the show's prizes, marking producers stop giving away fur and leather coats because of his animal rights approach.
The long-time host thinks he was left out of the show after criticizing prizes from Sea World and Calgary Stampede he deemed "notorious for animal abuse."
Ironically, he missed watching the episode because he thought it was on Wednesday.
